It's never easy writing about yourself, and as a working Mum you don't really get the time to self indulge too much! Hopefully this page will tell you a bit about me, and my role at VANA.

I live just outside of a village near Bath. I love the feeling of living in the country but knowing I am only 10 minutes away from the City. Not being close to the sea is the only draw back, I grew up in Bournemouth before my parents relocated us to Devon so we spent a lot of time on the coast as children. Ian and I married in 1999 and settled in Bath, we were delighted by the arrival of our twins, Daisy and Alfie in 2007. We enjoy time as a family at the weekend and more often than not this will include a trip to the Arboretum at Westonbirt, there is no better place for a game of hide-and-seek followed by a cup of tea in the fresh air, accompanied by a very special chocolate brownie!

Jo and I have worked together since the mid 90's and we have experienced a lot in this time, personally and professionally. We are quite different in personality but our individual styles complement each others and this has underpinned our success as a partnership.

I have enjoyed each stage of my rather long career in resourcing and taken great experience and learning from every opportunity. Leaving corporate life in 2004 was a big step, but I instinctively knew it was the right thing to do. VANA has been our creation and it is incredibly satisfying when we receive feedback on our service that reflects the position we wanted to attain in the market, we have stayed true to our values.
